Chris Webb (rcwebb) > The Danish resistance hid messages in boxes of Carlsberg beer.
Chris Webb (rcwebb) > I had been teasing our Danish friend Morton about Europeans loving David Hasselhof. He insisted over and over that it was just the Germans. Well, one night when we got in, Becky turned on the TV and a show called "Nick Fury: Agent of Steel" came on Danish tv. Becky yelled over to me and said that I wouldn't believe who it starred. Yep, it was David Hasselhof. I took this fabulous photo solely to bug Morton. This tv show combined with the Brian Adams Jam (previous photo), and all the Ricky Martin music we heard in bars, made me very concerned about the sanity of Denmark. If you see someone doing the Macerana, they are probably Danish!
Chris Webb (rcwebb) > Here Becky is standing in front of Rosenborg castle. The castle had just closed, and Denmark mobilized their entire army to guard it. Behind becky you see one half of Denmarks army. The other half is on the other side of the castle.
Chris Webb (rcwebb) > A big building that I think was a courthouse, but we just tended to walk by it everyday without much fanfare.
Chris Webb (rcwebb) > The stroget. This is the longest pedestrian street in the world. There are a lot of great stores, cafes, and bars on this street. We spent most of the first day at the Dubliner Irish Bar which contrary to popular belief was frequented by many Danes!
Chris Webb (rcwebb) > The main train station in Copenhagen.
Chris Webb (rcwebb) > This is an old fortress in Malmo, Sweden. It later was used as a prison and is currently a museum. The museum contains an aquarium with fish from around the world, lots of stuffed birds, and really nothing of interest. It kind of reminded me of Fernbank Science Center in Atlanta, only smaller. It didn't appear that much of the exhibit had anything to do with Sweden. It was really just random worldwide dead stuffed animals. Malmo is Sweden's third largest city. Dave and I could not help but laugh at the quality of this museum!
Chris Webb (rcwebb) > Finally we made it to the top.
