Turks and Caicos Islands
The Rock Boat VII was a great time this year. We headed off on the Carnival Legend to The Turks and Caicos Islands. The ship was 100 times nicer and much bigger than any of our previous ships. We had a large group of friends this year consisting of Sarah, Me, Brian Folse, Stephanie, Fran, and Cherry, plus Christine and 9 of her friends. There are a lot of pictures here, but this is only half of what I took. Look for the one of the lead singer of Better Than Ezra holding Fran's birthday blowup doll. All the artists are such good sports.
We flew down to Ft. Lauderdale the night before the cruise for the pre-party. We actually starting the pre-party at Hartsfield Airport in Atlanta. This is the first of many bloody marys for Sarah.
The biggest suitcase here is the black one. It also weighed the most. Notice the red "HEAVY" tag on it. Guess who that belonged to?
At the Sheraton Yankee Clipper on the beach in Ft. Lauderdale, The Rock Boat (TRB) held a pre-cruise happy hour.
After the Happy Hour, we headed off to Las Olas Drive for dinner and drinks.
Christine, Me, and Fran at the restaurant where we all ate.
Cherry with her first "I'm drunk" look of the trip.
Christine and Kevin at dinner. They at at the bar instead of a table. I think Christine thought she could drink faster that way.
Just a photo to note that Christine started with a bum foot.
Other than casino losses and a bad coffee burn, no major injuries were reported in our group.
Fran was celebrating her 40th on the boat. She actually turned 40 the day after we got back. Little did she know that Cherry and I had a special date arranged for her Friday night.
