We went to Vegas for a bachelor party for Dave. We only took pictures on our last day, Sunday. Our first stop of the day was the Stratosphere. At 1,149 feet, the Stratosphere Tower is the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States and the tallest building west of the Mississippi River.
The double decker elevator gets you up here in 37 seconds.
You can see all of Las Vegas from here including the Las Vegas strip.
On the very top are several rides. There is a roller coaster, a machine that shoots you upwards, and a machine that spins you around off the edge of the building. Paul and Dave wanted to do all of them.
This is downtown Las Vegas where the famous Freemont Street, and Binions Horseshoe is located. Binions is where the World Series of Poker started.
The windows in the observation level lean outward so you feel like you are hanging over the edge of the building.
The strip on a semi-cloudy day.
