Pictures with sarcastic commentary.
Waiting to get on the plane. We were still awake and feeling good.
Dave and I headed to Sweden the second day we were here. We took no pictures our first day since we had been up the entire previous night and were all going crazy from taking sleeping pills or xanax on the plane and adding a little beer on top of it.
See. We are drinking more than just Carlsberg beer.
Dave and I walked around Malmo, Sweden all day. This is a canal obviously. It was cold with light off and on snow coming down. Becky chose to stay in Copenhagen this day.
These ducks had to peck through the ice to get water.
Somehow Dave and I walked randomly and ended up at a casino. I think it was destiny, but we actually didn't go in.
After a few beers at lunch in Sweden, Dave decided to battle this windmill we found. Unfortunately the windmill won!
This is an old fortress in Malmo, Sweden. It later was used as a prison and is currently a museum. The museum contains an aquarium with fish from around the world, lots of stuffed birds, and really nothing of interest. It kind of reminded me of Fernbank Science Center in Atlanta, only smaller. It didn't appear that much of the exhibit had anything to do with Sweden. It was really just random worldwide dead stuffed animals. Malmo is Sweden's third largest city. Dave and I could not help but laugh at the quality of this museum!
In Copenhagen, the music scene is basically from the 1980's. It's my theory that the plane actually went through a time warp on the flight over. We've enjoyed hearing Ricki Martin, David Haselhof, and Boy George. It's very strange to see 2 Danish guys standing at the bar watching a soccer game and all of a sudden they start to dance to a Ricki Martin song together!
Dave actually has taken some good pictures, but this one just didn't quite work out.
